All-Hands Memo Confirms Employee Assistance Program Is 'Available To All Employees Who Are Able To Navigate The Employee Assistance Program', Benefits Team Calls Rollout 'Largely Self-Selecting'

MERIDIAN FALLS — Leadership at Crestbrook Fulfillment Solutions convened an emergency all-hands meeting Thursday to address what Chief People Officer Tamara Wollensak described as 'a communication flow situation that is, in many respects, exactly what our systems were designed to produce.'

The meeting, which ran forty-seven minutes over its scheduled slot and concluded without a slide deck due to what Wollensak called 'a versioning issue,' centered on the case of a regional employee who, over the course of several months, contacted the company's Employee Assistance Program hotline, submitted a digital wellness intake form, flagged a concern through the anonymous HR feedback portal, attended a mandatory resilience webinar, and personally approached two separate managers — one of whom was on a performance improvement plan of his own and thus, per policy, ineligible to receive escalations.

'Each of those touchpoints was received,' Wollensak confirmed, reading from prepared remarks, 'logged, routed, and in several cases auto-replied to within the company's target response window of three to five business days, which, given the holidays, extended to eleven.'

The anonymous feedback portal, she clarified, had registered the submission as a 'general morale concern,' consistent with its dropdown menu options, which do not currently include a category for 'urgent' or 'clinical' but do feature a subcategory for 'cafeteria temperature.'

Vice President of Operational Alignment Derek Pfenning took the floor to note that the company's wellness vendor, MindBridge SolutionsCare™, had in fact reached out to the employee with a link to a breathing exercise video and a coupon for one free month of the premium tier of a meditation app, which he described as 'a robust first-touch intervention.'

'The employee did not redeem the coupon,' Pfenning said. 'We cannot control the redemption side.'

An outside consultant hired to review the incident, whose firm billed forty-two hours at a rate the company declined to disclose, delivered a preliminary finding that the employee had 'demonstrated high engagement with available resources,' a metric the report flagged as 'a positive indicator of platform adoption.'

The consultant's forty-page interim summary recommended the company consider adding a fifth dropdown option to the feedback portal, tentatively labeled 'Significant,' pending legal review of what 'significant' might be understood to obligate.

Wollensak closed the meeting by reminding employees that the EAP hotline is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and that average hold times are currently running between twelve and forty minutes depending on volume, which she described as 'an industry-standard range.'

'We want every employee to know,' she said, 'that if you are struggling, there is a system for that. And that system is aware of you. And it cares, in the ways that systems can.'

The laminated poster in the third-floor break room, which reads 'YOU ARE NOT ALONE — Ask HR How!' has been updated to reflect HR's new ticketing software, effective the first of next month. Employees wishing to ask HR how are advised to submit a request through the new ticketing software to receive instructions on how to do so.

A follow-up all-hands has been scheduled for Q3, agenda pending approval.
