Eleven-Quarter Longitudinal Business Study Establishes That Companies Selling More Products Than They Buy Them For Tend To Have More Money Afterward, Margin Research Division Calls Profit Mechanism 'Directional, Repeatable, And Widely Misunderstood At The Executive Level'

STAMFORD, CT — In what financial analysts are calling the most important earnings call of the fiscal quarter, Vanthorpe Global Industries Chief Financial Officer Raymond Pellworth convened an emergency investor briefing Wednesday morning to formally confirm that the $2.3 billion in revenue recorded during Q3 has, at this time, become money that the company has.

The call, which lasted 94 minutes and included a 47-slide deck, opened with Pellworth assuring shareholders that the funds in question had successfully completed what he described as 'the journey from being owed to us to being possessed by us,' adding that internal treasury teams had verified the transition 'multiple times using the same bank portal.'

'What we can tell you today, with full confidence, is that this money is in our account,' Pellworth said during the prepared remarks segment. 'It was not there before we earned it. It is there now. That delta — that is the story of this quarter.'

The announcement was met with cautious enthusiasm from the investment community, though several analysts noted they had assumed as much.

'This is actually a significant disclosure,' said Dr. Pamela Troutsworth, Senior Director of Capital Arrival Studies at the Whitmore Financial Behavioral Institute. 'A lot of companies earn revenue but never formally confirm that the revenue stopped being future money and became present money. Vanthorpe is showing real transparency here by acknowledging that the transaction completed in the direction it was initiated.'

The slide deck, obtained by this publication, included a full page dedicated to what Pellworth's team called the 'Money Receipt Confirmation Matrix,' a color-coded diagram illustrating that the money had moved from a column labeled 'Not Yet Here' into a column labeled 'Here.' A footnote clarified that the column labeled 'Here' represents current possession.

When pressed by a Barclays analyst on whether the money might somehow leave the 'Here' column, Pellworth acknowledged the possibility but said the company had no current plans to spend all of it immediately, describing their cash management strategy as 'keeping it there, for now, while we decide things.'

'This is best-in-class fiscal communication,' said Gordon Fells, Chief Monetary Arrival Correspondent at Deloitte's Revenue Acknowledgment Practice. 'Most organizations simply receive funds and move on. Vanthorpe took the time to pause, look at the money, confirm it was the money, and then tell everyone that this had occurred. That is discipline.'

Shares of Vanthorpe rose 3.2 percent following the call before settling after investors remembered they had also expected the company to make money this quarter. The company has scheduled a follow-up call for November to address whether the money is still there or whether, in the intervening weeks, circumstances will have changed its location.

'We want to be proactive,' Pellworth told reporters in a post-call statement. 'The money is here today. We are committed to updating stakeholders if that status changes, or if additional money arrives and also becomes money we have. That is our promise to investors.'

The Vanthorpe Q3 earnings report is available in full on the company's investor relations page, under a section titled 'Documents Confirming the Funds.'
