Global Snack Holdings All-Hands Meeting Derailed After CFO Confirms Quarter Was 'Financially Q2 In Nature,' Slide Deck Subsequently Describes Itself As 'A Series Of Slides In Deck Formation'

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF NONSENSE — BUSINESS DIVISION

PURCHASED, CONN. — Global Snack Holdings, the multinational corporation responsible for at least four snacks you have eaten this week without thinking about it, held its highly promoted company-wide all-hands meeting on Thursday, during which Chief Financial Officer Randall Bupp confirmed to 4,200 assembled employees that the second fiscal quarter of the current fiscal year had taken place in the second fiscal position, where it had always been scheduled to be.

The announcement, delivered via a forty-one-slide deck titled 'Q2: A Story Of Q2,' was met with what witnesses described as 'a silence that had texture.'

'What Randall did up there was brave,' said Dr. Fenella Oakes, a corporate communications researcher at the Institute for Meetings That Could Have Been Emails. 'He looked 4,200 people in the eye and told them that April, May, and June had happened in that order. That is not nothing. That is, however, close to nothing.'

The meeting, originally scheduled for fifty minutes, entered its third hour after CEO Margrethe Dunlop paused the agenda to clarify that the slide currently on screen was 'the slide we are currently on,' and invited employees to use the chat function to confirm they could see it. Approximately 1,800 employees typed 'yes,' 240 typed 'no' as a joke, and one employee, later identified as Todd from Regional Compliance, typed 'which slide' and was not heard from again.

The slide deck itself became a subject of controversy when slide thirty-two contained a text box describing the presentation as 'a structured visual journey through content that has been placed in slides,' which three separate VPs reportedly printed out and laminated.

'We stand fully behind the deck,' said Dunlop in a written statement released Friday morning. 'It contains slides. Those slides contain information. We believe the information is on the slides. We will continue to assess whether the slides are aware of the information, but early indicators are promising.'

The Department of Nonsense, which monitors and certifies corporate communications for 'alignment with the general concept of communication,' issued its own formal response praising the all-hands as 'directionally meeting-shaped' and awarding Global Snack Holdings its coveted Platinum Clarity Medallion, an honor previously given to a pharmaceutical company that spent $2.4 million producing a values document that, upon review, contained only the word 'integrity' in increasingly large font sizes.

'What we witnessed Thursday was a company communicating at its employees,' said Department spokesperson Vivienne Crump. 'Whether communication was received, processed, or survived the encounter is beyond our current measurement framework. We have applied for a grant.'

Analysts have so far remained cautious in their assessments. 'Revenue was up, or it was down, or it held,' said financial commentator Brice Holloway on the podcast Equity Noises. 'Randall said a number. I wrote it down. I then lost the paper. I think we're all fine.'

Global Snack Holdings stock closed Thursday down 0.3%, which a company spokesperson confirmed was 'a percentage that is less than one but more than zero, and we are proud of that range.'

The next all-hands meeting is scheduled for Q3, which the company confirmed will occur after Q2 and before Q4, pending review.
