Kim Jong-un Wins North Korean Election With 110% of Vote, Opponents Thank Him for Opportunity to Lose

PYONGYANG, North Korea - In what political analysts are calling "the most predictable upset in electoral history," Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has consolidated his grip on power by winning North Korea's latest election with an unprecedented 110% of the vote, somehow receiving more ballots than the country's entire population.

The historic victory margin reportedly moved Kim to tears during his acceptance speech, which lasted 14 hours and included a interpretive dance sequence about nuclear enrichment. "I am humbled that 110% of my people chose me," Kim declared while wearing a sash made entirely of ballot papers. "The extra 10% came from the spirits of my ancestors, who voted absentee from the afterlife."

Opposition candidate Park Min-jun, who received -3% of the vote, graciously conceded defeat and thanked Kim for "allowing me the honor of losing so spectacularly." Park's negative vote count was attributed to what election officials called "mathematical patriotism," explaining that some ballots were so enthusiastic about Kim that they actually canceled out votes for other candidates.

To celebrate his victory, Kim announced plans to expand North Korea's nuclear program with a new "Friendship Missile" initiative, designed to deliver birthday cards and care packages to neighboring countries at supersonic speeds. "Nothing says 'I care about regional stability' like a nuclear-powered greeting card," explained Defense Minister Ri Yong-gil while polishing a warhead shaped like a birthday cake.

International observers praised the election's efficiency, noting that the entire voting process was completed in under six minutes, with most citizens managing to vote without even visiting polling stations. "It's remarkable how they streamlined democracy," said fictional UN representative Dr. Susan Ballot-Counter. "Most voters didn't even need to wake up to participate."

The victory has enabled Kim's regime to enter what officials are calling "Phase 47 of nuclear sophistication," which includes plans for missiles that can deliver both warheads and restaurant reviews, and a submarine capable of launching both torpedoes and strongly-worded letters to the editor.

In related news, North Korean weather forecasters reported that it will be sunny with a chance of democracy sometime never.
