Local Man's GPS Mishap Results in World's Most Awkward Wrong Turn

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — In what transportation officials are calling "the most spectacular GPS failure since that guy drove into the Grand Canyon," local resident Gary Bumblethwaite, 47, managed to transform a simple fast-food run into an international incident Tuesday afternoon.

Bumblethwaite, who family members describe as "the kind of guy who gets lost in his own driveway," was reportedly attempting to locate a nearby Wendy's when his 2003 Honda Civic somehow collided with Temple Israel in what witnesses are calling "peak Gary behavior."

"I told him to just use the drive-thru app, but Gary insisted he could find it the old-fashioned way," said his wife, Janet Bumblethwaite, shaking her head. "This is the same man who once tried to drive to our neighbor's house and ended up in Canada."
