Local Man Threatens to Unplug Neighbor's Christmas Lights Unless They Remove Inflatable Santa from Strait of Hormuz

SUBURBIA, USA - In an escalating neighborhood dispute that has captivated the entire cul-de-sac, local homeowner Donald Trumpet announced Tuesday that he will "destroy" his neighbor's elaborate Christmas light display unless they remove their 20-foot inflatable Santa Claus from what he calls "the Strait of Hormuz" - the narrow walkway between their houses.

"Iran - I mean, the Johnsons - have 48 hours to reopen this critical maritime passage," Trumpet declared from his front lawn, gesturing wildly at the space between the two properties. "This inflatable monstrosity is blocking global commerce. How am I supposed to get my Amazon packages through there?"

The dispute began three weeks ago when neighbor Bob Johnson installed what local HOA president Karen Williams describes as "an absolute unit" of a Santa decoration that requires guy-wires extending across the shared walkway. Trumpet claims this has created a "blockade" preventing him from accessing his side gate.

"Don said he already 'wiped Iran off the map' yesterday, but the Santa is still there," reported confused onlooker Margaret Stevens. "I think he just unplugged their extension cord for like ten minutes."

Johnson, 52, remains defiant. "That Santa stays up until New Year's," he told reporters while adjusting the decoration's tether ropes. "Besides, there's plenty of room to walk around it if you're not carrying a riding lawnmower everywhere you go."

The homeowners association has called an emergency meeting for Thursday to address what Williams termed "the most ridiculous thing I've dealt with since the Great Mailbox War of 2019."

At press time, Trumpet was seen at Home Depot purchasing what appeared to be several bags of rock salt and muttering something about "maximum pressure campaigns."
