Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 FE: A Phone So Future It Doesn't Exist Yet, But Has Already Disappointed Fans

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — In a move industry analysts are calling 'chronologically aggressive,' Samsung Electronics officially unveiled its Galaxy S26 FE this week, a phone that does not yet exist, cannot be purchased, and whose features remain largely fictional, giving smartphone enthusiasts worldwide a record-breaking runway to complain about it on Reddit.

The phone, which was leaked by the Wireless Power Consortium — an organization whose primary job is apparently to ruin Samsung's surprises — appeared in a single blurry certification image that experts say revealed 'definitely a rectangle' with 'some kind of screen situation going on.'

'This is everything we feared,' said tech blogger Derrick Houndslow, 47, who has maintained a Samsung disappointment journal since 2009. 'The corners look slightly less rounded than I had envisioned. I'm devastated. I pre-ordered three.'

Samsung engineers, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the Galaxy S26 FE is being designed specifically to be slightly worse than the Galaxy S26, a philosophy the company has refined over a decade of 'Fan Edition' releases.

'The FE stands for Fan Edition, meaning fans get a phone that respects their loyalty by removing two features they liked,' explained Dr. Ji-Yeon Park, Samsung's VP of Strategic Disappointment. 'This year we're thinking of removing the charger, the headphone jack, AND the concept of hope.'

The certification document also confirmed the device will charge wirelessly, breathe air from the surrounding atmosphere, and exist in three-dimensional space — specs that reviewers are calling 'bold choices for 2026.'

At press time, Samsung fans were already organizing a boycott of the phone while simultaneously placing deposits to ensure they would be first in line to buy it.
