Steelers Trade Up to Draft Wide Receiver Who Admits He's Actually Three Small Children in a Football Uniform

PITTSBURGH — In a shocking turn of events that has left NFL analysts scrambling to update their draft boards, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded up to the 47th overall pick to select wide receiver Germie Bernard, who sources confirm is actually three 8-year-old children stacked on top of each other inside an oversized football uniform.
"We knew Germie was special when he showed up to the combine wearing a trench coat and asking if they had any juice boxes," said Steelers General Manager Omar Khan, visibly sweating during the press conference. "His 40-yard dash time was incredible, though he did stop halfway through to tie his shoes and point at a butterfly."
Bernard, whose official measurements list him as 6'2" and 185 pounds but who appeared to wobble significantly during his interview, impressed scouts with his ability to catch three footballs simultaneously—one with each of his actual hands and one with what witnesses described as "a stick with a glove taped to it."
"The top child has excellent hands, the middle child provides surprising stability, and the bottom child has the strongest legs we've seen in this draft class," explained ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr., who rated Bernard as his #1 overall prospect despite growing concerns about his tendency to giggle during serious football discussions.
The Indianapolis Colts, who were originally slated to pick at 47, expressed relief at missing out on the selection. "We had some red flags when his agent insisted on negotiating the contract in crayon," admitted Colts GM Chris Ballard.
Bernard is expected to make his NFL debut this fall, pending league approval of his request to wear a helmet with a built-in sippy cup holder.
