Vineyard Wind Files Emotional Distress Lawsuit Against GE Renewables, Claims Wind Turbines Are 'Just Not That Into Them'

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — In what legal experts are calling the most dramatic renewable energy breakup since solar panels dumped coal in 2019, Vineyard Wind has filed a lawsuit against GE Renewables, alleging that the turbine manufacturer is trying to ghost them despite their 'beautiful thing' together.
The 47-page complaint, which sources say is written entirely in Comic Sans font with tear stains on every page, accuses GE of 'leading us on with promises of clean energy and sustainable love' before attempting to 'Irish goodbye' their way out of the Massachusetts offshore wind project.
'We thought what we had was special,' sobbed Vineyard Wind CEO Klaus Moeller during a press conference held in his pajamas. 'They used to whisper sweet nothings about gigawatt capacity in our ear. Now they won't even return our calls about turbine maintenance.'
The lawsuit seeks a court order forcing GE Renewables to honor their relationship commitment, including mandatory couples therapy sessions and a requirement to split the cost of any future wind farm dinners.
GE Renewables responded through their attorney, claiming they 'just need some space to work on themselves' and that the relationship moved too fast. 'It's not you, it's us,' the company said in a statement. 'Actually, no, it's definitely you.'
The case is expected to set precedent for other renewable energy relationships, with several solar companies reportedly already updating their Tinder profiles to 'It's Complicated.'
