Kyler Murray Reportedly Weighing Actual Vikings, Backup Options Include Medieval Knights and Pirates

MINNEAPOLIS — Sources close to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray confirm that the 25-year-old signal-caller is seriously considering a career change to professional Viking, with the Minnesota-based Norse warrior collective emerging as the frontrunner for his services.

Murray, who stands 5'10" and has been criticized for his slight frame, reportedly believes his compact size would be advantageous when squeezing into cramped longboat quarters during extended pillaging expeditions.

"Kyler has always been drawn to the Viking lifestyle," said his agent, Erik Burkhardt, while adjusting his newly acquired horned helmet. "The raiding, the mead halls, the complete disregard for modern labor laws — it really speaks to him."

According to league sources, Murray has also been exploring backup options, including joining a roving band of medieval knights, a Caribbean pirate crew, and surprisingly, a suburban Home Depot where he could utilize his scrambling abilities to locate items in Aisle 47.

The Minnesota Vikings organization — the actual football team — released a statement expressing confusion about the situation. "We thought he was coming here to play quarterback, but he keeps asking about our longboat capacity and whether we provide battle axes," said head coach Kevin O'Connell.

Murray was last seen at a Renaissance fair in Shakopee, Minnesota, practicing his sword work and asking vendors about the dental plan.
