World Leaders Desperately Try to Save Peace Talks by Hosting Awkward Potluck Dinner in Neutral Switzerland

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND - In a stunning display of culinary diplomacy, world leaders announced today they will attempt to salvage crumbling peace negotiations by hosting what sources describe as "the most passive-aggressive potluck in human history."

The emergency dinner, scheduled for this weekend at a reportedly very expensive Swiss chalet, comes after months of failed talks that have devolved into heated arguments over proper tahini consistency and whether pita bread should be served warm or at room temperature.

"We believe that breaking bread together—specifically, arguing over whose bread is superior—will help these nations find common ground," said UN mediator Margaret Whistlebottom, while frantically googling "how to seat mortal enemies at dinner table" on her phone.

Vice President JD Vance, who will apparently be attending via video call from a Pizza Hut in Islamabad, expressed optimism about the unconventional approach. "Nothing says diplomatic breakthrough like watching grown men fight over the last dinner roll," Vance stated, adjusting his novelty "World's #1 Peacemaker" apron.

Early reports suggest the evening may already be doomed, as three separate nations have claimed they're bringing "the world's most authentic" olive tapenade, and absolutely no one volunteered to bring napkins.

At press time, Swiss authorities were reportedly stockpiling antacids and considering hiring additional security personnel trained specifically in "heated recipe disputes."
